This part of the Guidelines provides artificial intelligence (AI) developers and innovators an overview of the legal requirements related to the development of AI tools, in terms of privacy and data protection. They aim to contribute to optimizing performance across the entire AI system to achieve efficiency, high-quality outputs and consistent performance, while reducing miscommunications and a resultant failure to comply with regulations.

In this way, PANELFIT complements the efforts of the SHERPA project to provide researchers and innovator with ethical guidelines for the technological development of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data systems and ethical guidelines for the deployment and use of artificial intelligence (AI) and big data systems in organizations (https://www.project-sherpa.eu/guidelines/).

It is divided in three main sections.
