This section aims to give an example of how best to create and maintain cybersecurity in ICT research and innovation projects. To do so, the main concepts of cybersecurity and information security are quickly introduced. In general, this chapter provides an exemplary walkthrough on how to manage information security in a research project. We hereby follow the guidelines provided by ENISA and ISO standards on cybersecurity and information systems management. Furthermore, we follow the advice provided by the CyberSec4Europe project, funded by the EU Commission as part of the H2020 Funding Programme. References to this project are included in section 3 of this section.
